A LIKENESS WITH A PRESENCE
When you commission a portrait from Linda Sheppard, you can take pride in knowing that
you are placing your portrait requirements in the hands of an experienced professional artist.

As a portrait artist, she seeks more than a simple likeness.  Her goal is to create a likeness
which captures what is authentic and interesting about the subject.  All of her portraits are
composed to communicate this unique and genuine essence.  Linda has exhibited in
prestigious national shows and won numerous awards for her portraits. These include:

·American Artist Professional League. Gold Medal for a pastel group portrait,
"Woodcarvers" 2002
·American Pastel Society. Three scholarships 1995, 1997, 1999.
·Art Students League, New York.  First Prize Drawing and Pastel,
"Monique" 1995. "Wilson" 1999.
·National Academy of Design, New York.  Student Show.  
·Albert Baldwin Prize for watercolor portrait.
·Westchester Beaux Arts.  Numerous first place awards for portraits

Linda had a two-year commission painting ranch life in Colorado.  The commission included
a number of portraits.

She has studied portrait with Daniel Greene, Michael Shane Neal, and at the National
Academy of Art and the Art Students League in NYC.

Linda Sheppard teaches portrait and drawing classes in Beaufort, SC and is available to  
teach portrait and figure drawing and painting workshops.
